The club was formed on the 1st January 2020 with the aim of reuniting retired active senior service boat and shore sea anglers. Since then we have grown into one of the Angling Trust’s top specimen fish and species sea angling clubs finishing 2nd in their Specimen Fish Award Scheme National Championship in 2023, and registering a record 116 specimen fish claims in 2024. We continue to compete against serving members of the RNAA Sea Section and have won the King Charles III Coronation Cup annual Most Species competition, since its introduction in 2021. We have re-established the RNRMAA Record Fish Lists dating back to their formation in 1973 and the Inter Service Individual and Team honours lists going back to 1979.
