Royal Navy Sea Angling

RN & RM Veterans SAC

On the 1st January 2020, Trevor Sutch (ex MAA) formed the RNRMAA Veterans Sea Angling Club with the aim of reuniting retired and discharged senior service boat and shore sea anglers. We host get together events around the UK and encourage members to submit entries into our UK wide Most Species ‘Catch and Release’ annual fish competition. We actively compete against all other UK Clubs through the Angling Trust’s specimen fish award scheme competition which we last won in 1990. We compete annually against the Royal Navy for our Veterans Cup, in boat and shore events, and look forward to doing the same against the Army and RAF angling associations in the future.

We offer a single payment Life Membership option for Royal Navy and Royal Marine armed forces veterans, and stay in touch with everyone via our Facebook and WhatsApp Groups, as members are located all over the UK. Our first Yearbook, issued in January 2021, provides an updated historical record of the RNRMAA. Events we hosted in 2020 and have programmed for 2021, archive individual, inter service, record and specimen fish data, photographs, and Life Membership Form for anyone interested in joining the RNRMAA Veterans SAC. We welcome your support, look forward to renewing old friendships, participation and comradeship.
